Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. pretty much begs for the Firefly comparison. The cast is similar; the set is similar. It is, in plain sight, a spiritual successor to Joss Whedon’s short-lived masterpiece. But it’s weaker. Like, a lot weaker.

‘Tis the season for revivals: X-Files, Gilmore Girls, Fuller House, Twin Peaks, etc. While Firefly creator Joss Whedon will now be busy with a Batgirl film for DC for the foreseeable future, we ask: Should Firefly get the revival treatment also?
